[Machine Translation] Richard Galliano, a world-renowned button accordionist who has made numerous visits to Japan, performed Piazzolla's works with an orchestra in Poland on this live recording from 2006. Galliano, who met Piazzolla in 1983 and was selected as a bandoneon soloist in "A Midsummer Night's Dream," for which Piazzolla composed the music, has performed many of Piazzolla's works in Japan, receiving high acclaim and winning many ardent fans. Although the image of the accordion is often associated with chansons and musettes, Galliano's accordion music is categorized as "jazz," and he has been called the "revolutionary of musette" for his musical style. Galliano's "Homage to Piazzolla" is based on his encounter with Piazzolla in his later years.
