Everybody Knows

[Machine Translation] The film is a collaboration of two-time Academy Award winner Asghar Farhadi and international star couple Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem. A kidnapping incident reveals a family's love, hatred and suspicion, and a mother's confession of her secret to her child's safety. A painful emotional drama that could happen to any family anywhere in the world. --Laura (Penelope Cruz), who lives in Argentina, returns to her hometown in Spain for her sister's wedding and is reunited with her childhood friend Paco (Javier Bardem), who runs a wine business, and his family. However, their joy is short-lived when Laura's daughter, Irene, disappears during a party held after the wedding. Soon after, a message arrives from someone demanding a huge ransom, and Laura is plunged into despair. Paco struggles to buy time, and Laura's husband (Ricardo Darin) arrives from Argentina, but the family is plunged into doubt and suspicion as secrets hidden for years are revealed...
