[Purple Recordsシリーズ] パープル・レコーズは1971年にディープ・パープルのマネージメントが設立したレーベル。本企画はそのパープル・レコーズのカタログより全22タイトルを厳選しリリース。今回はパープルレコーズ所属アーティストの音源を集めた唯一のオムニバス盤を発売!! 本作は、元々パープルレコーズのプロモーション用の秘蔵サンプラー・アルバムで、1973年にリリースされた。その後1975年には「ROCK REFLECTIONS」(英EMI)というタイトルで再発売。今回の発売は当時リリースされていたオリジナルとは数曲入れ替えた形での発売となる。DAVID COVERDALE、YVONNE ELLIMAN、SILVERHEAD、HARD STUFF等の音源を収録、当時のパープルレコーズを知るには貴重な1枚!!
