Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory has actually been released on DVD in the United States but no soundtrack is available in the US so I was very pleased when I came across this. This CD is a remastered version of the original 2-Disc set which is almost identical with a few major differances. The original OST Box had a bit more analog noise in the background, and while it was by no means bad, you could tell the source was analog tape. That's all changed with this release; the songs now sound crystal clear as if they were just recorded and make much better use of multi-channel sound systems. The second disc also features three new tracks; namely the TV Edits of the two OP Themes complete with Sound FX that are mixed perfectly, as well as "The Delaz Declaration" played in the OAV. The sound quality is superb and the disc art is very well done on this set as well. In addition the new sleeve and case allow for extra artwork. If you're a Gundam fan, buy this CD. My favorite song on it is "The Winner" which makes excellent use of synthasizers. This is easily my favorite CD right now.
