Mono Sound Leaves You Feeling Flat. 3

This remastered and well-packaged mini lp sleeve version of the best of the early hits of the Stones is a mixed bag. The cover design is brilliant and it not only very faithfully recreates the original vinyl version right down to the plastic cd sheath but it also has an 8-page booklet of colour pictures of the band attached to the inner portion of the gatefold sleeve. It also comes with a small card and the lyrics in Japanese and English as an insert. The track selections are also very good starting with "Satisfaction" and ending with "Play With Fire" with gems like "As Tears Go By", "Get Off Of My Cloud" and "The Last Time" thrown in. And now for the bad: most of the tracks are in mono and unless your are an old foggy who cannot keep up with the times and insists upon the "good" old days of crap mono sound, this leaves you feeling just a little short-changed. Overall though, an above average offering and probably the best version of this album that's out there.

We really have to Blame Klien for chosing the American version of this instead of the better and longer English version,Which came out years ago in Japan and had a more intresting line up One loss from the Orig UK Lp is the Great Fish eye cover,which had the American cover on the Back.
