ヘイ・クロックフェイス [SHM-CD] / エルヴィス・コステロ
2018年に10年ぶりに、"エルヴィス・コステロ&ジ・インポスターズ"名義でのロック・アルバム『ルック・ナウ』が2020年第62回グラミー賞で最優秀トラディショナル・ポップ・ヴォーカル・アルバムを受賞したエルヴィス・コステロの2年ぶりの新作が完成。前作に続きセバスチャン・クリストの共同プロデュース作品。本作はヘルシンキ、パリ、ニューヨークにてレコーディング。ミックスはLAで全曲セバスチャン・クリスが担当。先行リリースされているシングル「ノー・フラッグ」「ヘティ・オハラ・コンフィデンシャル」、「ウィ・アー・オール・カワーズ・ナウ」の3曲は今年2月に単独ヘルシンキに渡りレコーディング・エンジニアEetu Seppala (イエトゥ・セッパラ)の下でソロ・レコーディング。その後すぐさまパリに渡り、レ・ステュディオ・サンジェルマンで週末セッションを行い、2日間で9曲録音したとのこと。このパリでのセッションでは盟友スティーヴ・二ーヴが中心となり、"Le Quintette Saint Germain" (ル・クインテット・サン・ジェルマン)とコステロが名付けたアンサンブルが参加。ニューヨークのセッションは、コンポーザー/アレンジャー/トランペッターのマイケル・レオンハートがプロデュースを務め、ギタリストのビル・フリゼールとネルス・クラインもコラボレート、コステロが"エレクトリカル・ワイヤーを通じて"リリックとヴォーカルをその音楽に入れて完成させた。 ※本商品は金曜販売開始商品のため、商品のお届けは発売日当日以降になります。
