I was sceptical to try this series, but I could not be happier. I've tried SACD, Bluray and XRCD when it comes to Jazz titles, and I will say this 2013 SHM simply kills. The sound is outstanding! Very smooth and the soundstage is fantastic. The horns and drums sound so lifelike it's uncanny. I've read that people found this title bright sounding, but I don't agree at all. To me it's perfect and it's very lively sounding. Gets your foot tapping. I'm very happy with this purchase and I look forward to buying more of the Blue Note SHM CDs.
