キャンバスに描くように日常の物語を歌にするシンガー。ジャジーな雰囲気と70年代のポップスを融合させたサウンド。母国の多くのメディアで賞賛されながらもCD化されなかった作品が国内盤として登場!! 次々と新しい才能が登場するサウス・ロンドンから登場した若きシンガー・ソング・ライター、マット・マルチーズ。2018年のFoxgenのJonathan Radoプロデュースによるメジャー・デビュー作ではポップな作品が多かったのですが、今作ではElephant & Castleのベッドルームですべて一人でレコーディング。前作の失望からゆっくりと自分らしさを取り、自身のプロデュース能力も開花した暖かかくささやかな楽曲群が完成。ジャジーな雰囲気と70年代ポップスが融合したようなサウンドはおなじサウスロンドンのJamie Isaacとも通じるものがあります。
