actually i forgot how good this album was, this record was as good as shout was, i belive this was 1986 when this came out, as i said about the other 3 releases by x ray the guitar work is awsome!!!! the band sound awsome!! i think the only thing that kept x ray from coming to us shores back then was the lack of english, at the same time this wave of japanese metal was really happening between 1983 and 86/87 there was also a big french wave of metal bands as there where german, most of the german bands made it to the us ( and some still do) becouse they sang in english, the french bands like sortilege, satan jokers and trust sang in french so i assume that is why i never saw them here, anyway strike back was a great hard rock album with killer hm guitar solos, this was what always impressed me most about these japanese hm bands THE GUITAR PLAYING, weather it was akira from loudness or raven from marino the guitar playing really stands out the most!!! enjoy it was great hearing this again.
