Rika (Rena Tanaka), whose family owns a long-established ryokan called "Meigetsukan" on the shore of Lake Biwa, loses her father five years ago and quits her job to come home to support her mother, Mitsuko (Kimiko Yo), who has been running the ryokan by herself. In the midst of a slump in business, Mitsuko's college sweetheart and Taiwanese businessman Charles ( Yang Lier ) buys the inn and sends his son Jackie ( Wang Po-chieh ) to help rebuild it. However, Ewha is repulsed by Jackie's lack of hospitality and clashes with him. Jackie has a secret purpose for coming to Japan. She wants to start over with her former lover, Naoko (Mina Fujii). When Jackie finds out that Shoko has a fiancee, she cannot give up on her, but comes up with the idea of remodeling "Meigetsu-kan" so that Shoko's wedding can be held as a final present to her. Rika also says goodbye to her former boss with whom she had an affair, and tries to make a fresh start in her life. Jackie begins to learn about Japanese hospitality through a lecture with Kimura Sensei (Kimura Tae), the host of the "Omotenashi Class," when she discovers that her business partner, Huang, is in the process of selling the Meigetsukan. Meanwhile, Charles, who had been told that he has cancer and does not have long to live, collapses...

田中麗奈×ワン・ポーチェ W主演 日本アカデミー賞受賞の名優たちが贈る、オリジナル日台合作映画が誕生! ――老舗旅館の再生を目指す人たちの"おもてなし"の旅。琵琶湖畔にある老舗旅館「明月館」が実家の梨花(田中麗奈)は5年前に父を亡くし、旅館を一人で切り盛りし続けている母・美津子(余貴美子)を支えるため、仕事を辞めて実家に戻ってくる。経営不振の中、美津子の大学時代の恋人であり台湾実業家のチャールズ(ヤン・リエ)が旅館を買収して、息子・ジャッキー(ワン・ポーチエ)を再建のために送り込んだ。しかし「おもてなし」の心を持っていないジャッキーに対して梨花は反発し衝突する。そんなジャッキーには、来日への密かな目的があった。それは、かつての恋人・尚子(藤井美菜)とやり直すこと。尚子に婚約者がいることを知ったジャッキーは諦めきれない想いを抱えながらも、尚子の結婚式が開けるように「明月館」を改装して、最後のプレゼントをしようと思いつく。同じく梨花も、不倫していたかつての上司に別れを告げ、人生の再スタートをはかろうとしていた。「おもてなし教室」を主催している木村先生(木村多江)との講義を経て、"日本のおもてなしの心"を学び始めたジャッキーだったが、ビジネスパートナーの黄が「明月館」を売却する手続きをしていることが発覚する。そんな中、ガンのために余命宣告を受けていたチャールズが倒れ・・・。
