ソロアーティストとして2018年に復活した三上ちさこの、第2章の幕開けとなる2年ぶりの2ndフルアルバム! タイトルの『Emergence』とは、"さなぎが成虫になる事"を指す言葉で、日本語では"羽化(うか)"の意。ピンチをチャンスに変え、努力を重ねたその先には想像を超える成長がある、という、今の時代に偶然にもはまるテーマとなっており、自分を応援鼓舞し、そして大切な誰かの為に創造して羽ばたいていきたい、という思いからタイトルとして付けた。プロデューサーの保本真吾と息のあったタッグは健在で、昨年から今夏まで精力的にリリースしてきたシングル曲に合わせ、今アルバムのリード曲となる「羽化」や、自分の奥底の"光"を信じ立ち上がるエネルギーを歌う「InnerSTAR」を中心に、アッパーからバラードまで、繊細かつ広大な声で縦横無尽に歌う。ソロとして復活した三上ちさこが"成虫"になっていく様を描くアルバムとなっている。
