Years after the release of FINAL FANTASY VII, composer Nobuo Uematsu's brilliant compositions are finally brought to life in "Piano Collection FINAL FANTASY VII." Prior to this CD, only three songs were ever re-recorded with live instrumentation as part of a special FFVII album (a "best of" collection - "FINAL FANTASY VII Reunion Tracks" - that was mostly the original computerized music). Opening with the delicately arranged "Tifa's Theme," the CD promises faithful renditions of the original songs, and stays faithful to the originals from start to finish. The song selection is perfectly balanced, with songs like "Fighting," "Cinco de Chocobo," "Cosmo Canyon," and "Aeris' Theme." This CD is what instrumental arrangements should be, and belongs on the shelf of any game music lover.
