Transforming the ever-popular battle themes into Hard Rock, you would hardly be able to believe that those are the same tracks you've been casting spells to in the game of the same name! While most of the tracks start out sober enough, soon you'll be in for an ear-blasting session when the heavy music kicks in. What's most amazing is, you would actually recognize the music, despite its transformation!

This is a really good buy for fans of the Final Fantasy series. It contains new hard-rock versions of ten old classics from the games (FFI, II, V, VI, VII, VIII and X) performed by Nobuo Uematsu and his band the Black Mages. With one or two not so great tunes this is still a very addictive cd.
