ブルー・アンブレラ [Blu-spec CD2] / バート・バカラック&ダニエル・タシアン
バート・バカラックは、1928年5月12日、米国ミズーリー州カンザスシティ生まれ。1956年頃に作詞家のハル・デイヴィッドと出会い、1970年代初頭までコンビを組んで、ヒット曲、名曲を連発。60年代から70年代にかけて"バカラック・サウンド"と呼ばれる独特のスタイルを編み出し、アメリカのポピュラー音楽界の頂点に立つ作曲家としての地位と名声を築き上げた。ダニエル・タシアンは米国コネチカット州生まれ。わずか19歳でエレクトラと契約。 T・ボーン・バーネットをプロデューサーに迎えて、アルバム『Sweetie』(1996年)をリリース。自身のバンド、シルヴァー・シーズやスカイライン・モーテルでナッシュヴィルの音楽シーンの原動力となる。近年はソングライター、プロデューサーとしても活躍。プロデュースしたケイシー・マスグレイヴスの『ゴールデン・アワー』でグラミー賞受賞。本作はバカラックが『ゴールデン・アワー』のプロデューサー、タシアンの手腕に感銘。二人は意気投合して、制作されたプロジェクト。全曲バカラックの書下ろしの新曲。バカラックとしては、2005年以来の15年振りとなる新曲入りの作品で、バカラック・ファン垂涎の新作。
