ピンク・フロイドのヴォーカル&ギター、デヴィッド・ギルモアの9年振りのソロ新作。CDにはこれまでの歴史上ピンク・フロイド関連では不可能だった日本盤ボーナストラックが奇跡の収録決定! アルバムはブライトンとロンドンで5ヶ月余りをかけてレコーディング、全曲新曲のアルバムとしては2015年発表の『飛翔』以来。プロデュースを手がけたのは、デヴィッド・ギルモアとチャーリー・アンドリュー (マーキュリー賞を受賞したインディー・バンド、ALT-Jを手がける)アルバムは新曲8曲とともに、ザ・モンゴルフィエ・ブラザーズの「ビトウィーン・トゥー・ポインツ」のリメイクを収録。アートワークはアントン・コービンが担当。参加したミュージシャンはベースのガイ・プラット (1987年以降ピンク・フロイドのレコーディングやツアーに参加)やキーボードのロジャー・イーノ (ブライアン・イーノの弟)、伝説的ドラマー、スティーヴ・ガッドやギルモアの息子、娘も参加。タイトル曲には今は亡きピンク・フロイドのキーボード奏者、リチャード・ライトもフィーチャーされている。英UNCUT誌では「迫りくる死にインスピレーションを得て作ったパワフルな新作」と評し、「死の必然性を受け入れつつ、人生は単なる幸運や奇妙なことだけではない不思議な巡り合わせがある」ということが全体に流れるテーマとなっている。ソフトパック仕様。

I like the last Gilmour's album a lot, more than the previous ones. Good to listen to. Sound is very good and I recommend to others as well.
