[ソニー・ミュージック HR&HM 名盤] Legacy Recordings HR&HM (3)不滅の名盤・偉大なる音楽遺産を未来へつなぐ「レガシー・レコーディング」。第3弾は、ハード・ロック、ヘヴィ・メタルの名盤30タイトル。79年度作品。オリジナルとしては通算6作目。全米最高位14位/100万枚突破。プロデューサーは長年共に名盤を作ってきたジャック・ダグラスから、ゲイリー・ライオンズに交代。79年春、どうにか新譜製作の準備に入るが、「もう、どうでもよくなっていた」と、当時を回顧するジョー・ペリー。結局、レコーディングは開始したものの、きちんとした形で進めることが出来ず、業を煮やしたマネージメントはそのままレコーディングを中断させて、バンドをツアーに出した。しかし、皮肉にもそこでスティーヴンとジョーの確執が決定的となり、ジョーが7月末に脱退。ジョーはすぐにソロ・プロジェクトをスタートさせる。残った4人はスタジオに戻り、ジョー抜きでレコーディングを再開。シャングリラスの「Remember」(最高位67位)、ヤードバーズの「Think About It」など全9曲中3曲がエアロのルーツ的な楽曲のカヴァー。「Mia」は当時生まれたスティーヴンの娘ミアに捧げられた美しいバラード。解説、歌詞、対訳付き。
