Prologue

[Machine Translation] Debut mini album by Yoshitaka Fujimoto's solo unit "Clue". The sound has a psychedelic arrangement with floating electronics. The live performance adds a nostalgic quality to the music, and the vocals with beautiful melody lines create a mysterious worldview. The band is made up of a unique lineup of performers. The band also includes Ryo Nagano ( APOGEE ) as a solo unit, and Hisamitsu Fujii, formerly of ANATAKIKOU, plays the drums. Hamber, the leader of Drifting Wagon and Pinponkan, plays woodwinds. Shirasu Kon, Asuka Sasai, Yuri Matsumoto, and Junpei Hayashida, who have performed with Ringo Shiina and Sting, are on the string quartet. Co-arranger is Jazz pianist Tsuyoshi Sakamoto. Recording and mixing by Masanori Hata. Mastering was done by Toshihiko Kasai, a unique combination. フジモトヨシタカによるソロユニット『クルーエ』のデビューミニアルバム。浮遊感のあるエレクトロニクスに、サイケデリックなアレンジが施されたサウンド。生演奏によってノスタルジックな質感も加わり、美しいメロディーラインを奏でるヴォーカルは不思議な世界観をつくりだしている。演奏も個性派なメンツが揃っている。永野亮(APOGEE)のソロユニットなどでも活動し、元ANATAKIKOUの藤井寿光がDrums。漂流ワゴンとピンポンカンのリーダーHamberがwood windsを担当。椎名林檎やstingなどの演奏で活躍する白須今、笹井飛鳥、松本有理、林田順平を弦カルテッドに迎えた。共同アレンジがJazzピアニストの坂本剛。録音、ミックスが秦正憲。マスタリングが葛西敏彦という異色の組み合わせだ。プロデューサーがファッション誌『 FUDGE 』等の編集長を務めた 竹本健一というのも面白い。必聴の一枚。まさに新しい物語のプロローグだ。
