This is the third installment of "J.J-Standard," a project to revive famous Japanese songs with a big band sound and to create new Japanese standard numbers. This time, the project focuses on manga music that adults were passionate about as boys and girls. The 11 songs selected based on questionnaires from readers and listeners of Yomiuri Shimbun and FM COCOLO are all masterpieces that represent the times, both in terms of original works and music. We hope that you will enjoy looking back at Japan's world-class manga culture from a musical perspective. It is with this in mind that we have created this concert. The performance will be by the "Arroyo Jazz Orchestra," a well-established and prestigious big band in the Kansai jazz world, which has been in existence for more than 50 years. 大人が選んだ懐かしい漫画の歌。夢と希望と勇気をもらった名作の数々。あの想い出が、ビッグバンドで甦る! 前田憲男・大塚善章・佐山雅弘・中路英明 (熱帯ジャズ楽団) 貫田重夫 (東京キューバンボイーズ) も編曲参加。日本の名曲をビッグバンドサウンドで甦らせ、日本のスタンダードナンバーを、新たに生み出して行こうとするプロジェクト「J.J-Standard」の第3弾。今回は、大人達が少年少女時代に熱中した漫画音楽を取り上げました。読売新聞・FM COCOLOの読者・リスナーのアンケートを元に選曲された11曲は、原作・音楽と共に時代を代表する名作ばかり。今や日本が世界に誇る漫画文化を、音楽の側面から振り返り、楽しんでいただきたい。そんな思いで創り上げました。演奏は結成50余年を誇る関西ジャズ界の名門老舗ビッグバンド「アロージャズオーケストラ」。日本のジャズ史に新たな歴史を刻む大胆な挑戦はまだまだ続く!
