Morgan Freeman, Christian Slater, Randy Quaid and Minnie Driver star in this value pack of a film that's a disaster movie and an action flick rolled into one. If you feel a desperate desire to watch a terrible disaster movie and a mindless action flick (like I occasionally do... Like only every few hours or so) but have got time for only one, this is a perfect film to satisfy that intellectual hunger. It was written by Graham Yost ('Speed'), and directed by Mikael Solomon who served as the DP for 'Backdraft.' After watching this film, I had an urge to see the venerable Morgan Freeman and the lovely Minnie Driver reunited for a sequel to Freeman's acclaimed film, 'Driving Over Miss Driver.'
