Description

The original Russian animated film which inspired this film, and Osamu Tezuka's earlier work, "Hi no Tori (Bird of Fire / Phoenix)," was released theatrically in 1948 in Japan. Although Tezuka himself died right after the pilot was completed, he had finished writing treatments for the first 5 episodes by that time. The wondrous story centers around the friendship between Blink, the blue pony from outerspace, and a boy named Kakeru. The boxed set contains episodes 27 through 39. A booklet expected.
