I was rather surprised when this Miki Matsubara Anthology CD arrived. This anthology CD does have a lot of her best work, but not all of the songs on this CD would qualify as Miki's "best". Stay With Me, Neet 3PM, Ai Ha Energie, and Rainy Day Woman were fabulous choices, and truly showcase her vocal prowess and fairly wide range. However, including tracks such as 10 Carat Love or Hello Today would have easily qualified as some of her "best" work, and would belong on a greatest hits album, in place of Track 14, Jazzy Night, or Track 5. This album does have quite a few of Miki's best tracks, but countless other wonderful tracks could have been put on this CD to compliment the already spendid selection. As a result, 3/5.
