In September 2009, he opened for BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB in Leeds under the name PAUL THOMAS SAUNDERS for the first time. Having recorded his debut album outside Leeds, he says he is trying to distance himself as much as possible from the London music scene and is now based in Hove, near Brighton. He has been fascinated by the Vangelis since watching Carl Sagan's 1980 space documentary "Cosmos," and when recording this debut album, "I wanted it to sound like a lost recording of the Vangelis.
