After working with The Trio Project and Akiko Yano for the first time in five years, Hiromi Uehara has launched a new duo project with jazz harpist Edmar Castaneda. This work is vacuum-packed from a stage performance at the same Montreal Jazz Festival on June 30, 2017, exactly one year after their encounter, along with the excitement of the audience. In addition to each other's original compositions, including "The Elements," a suite of four parts written by Uehara for this project, they also performed "Cantina Band (Bar Band)" from the movie "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope," and a cover of "Libertango" by tango master Astor Piazzolla. The album includes a cover of "Libertango" by Astor Piazzolla, the master of tango.
