Zouk Out

[Machine Translation] Mario Canonge is a Paris-based pianist from Martinique, an overseas department of France. His sound, which incorporates the music of his hometown, Zouk, into jazz, has a unique nostalgia that mixes elegance with melancholy and passion, and a sadness that stays in the heart. The trio is composed mainly of Arnou Dolmen (dr), a young Creole jazz star from Guadeloupe, and Michel Aribo (b), a superb groove bass player with roots in Martinique, with percussion by Adriano Tenorio. The trio is joined by a variety of guests, including Maravois singer Ralph Tamar, guitarist Ralph Ravital, and others.
