[Machine Translation] GRAND, a three-piece band from Sweden that made its worldwide debut with a self-titled album at the end of 2022, has already completed its second album. The band was started as a result of a friendly match between Mathias Olofsson (Vo), who has a long career in the Swedish music industry, and Jakob Svensson (WIGELIUS), who is the guitarist and producer for the band. Having both grown up with roots in 80's AOR/Melodic Rock bands such as TOTO, FOREIGNER, GIANT, etc., the two have created a work with an emphasis on melody based on the influences of these bands. The resulting debut album was well received by fans around the world as a high-quality work that blended the transparency and melancholy melodies of a Scandinavian band. In response to the response to their previous work, the duo decided to begin work on their next album as soon as possible after the release of their debut album. While performing live intermittently around their hometown in Sweden, the duo steadily worked behind the scenes to compose the music for their second album. In the spring of 2023, the band announced to their fans via social networking sites that they had started recording their second album. The band also regularly reported that the recording process was progressing smoothly. Finally, the album was completed and will be unveiled in early 2024. This product will be available for sale on Friday and will be released simultaneously around the world, so it will be delivered on or after the release date.

2022年末にセルフ・タイトル・アルバムでワールドワイドデビューを果たした、スウェーデン出身のスリーピース・バンドGRANDの第2作目が早くも完成。このバンドは、スウェーデンの音楽業界では長年のキャリアを持つマティアス・オロフソン(Vo)と、このバンドではギタリスト兼プロデューサーをこなすヤコブ・スヴェンソン(WIGELIUS)が意気投合した結果スタート。お互いがTOTO、FOREIGNER、GIANTなどの数多くの80年代AOR/メロディック・ロック・バンドをルーツとして育った2人は、そういったバンドの影響をベースに、メロディに重点を置いた作品を制作。その結果完成したデビュー作は、北欧のバンドならではの透明感と哀愁のメロディがブレンドされた高品質な作品として、世界中のファンから好評を博した。前作での反響を受け、二人はデビュー作のリリース後早くも次作の製作に取り掛かることを決意。地元スウェーデンを中心に断続的にライヴを行いつつ水面下ではセカンド・アルバムに向けた作曲を着実に進めていった。そして2023年春頃からセカンド・アルバムのレコーディングを開始したことをバンドのSNSを通じてファンに告知。その後も順調にレコーディングが進んでいることも定期的に報告していった。そして遂に完成し2024年初頭にお披露目となるのが本作である。※本商品は金曜販売開始商品/世界同時発売のため、商品のお届けは発売日当日以降になります。
