The God Machine" is the 11th studio album by the legendary heavy metal band "Steel Prophet" from Connecticut, U.S.A., who will celebrate their 30th anniversary this year with the release of their first Japanese album. They have been playing the orthodox heavy metal that can be called the royal road for many years. This new album, which features new vocalist R.D. Liapakis of Mystic Prophecy, also delivers an authentic sound that has many deep-rooted fans. The album was mixed and mastered by Henrik Wood, who has worked on Dim Boger, Power Wolf, Hammerfall, Firewind, and OUTRAGE, and was named best producer at the 2017 Heavy Music Awards.

今年デビュー30周年を迎えるアメリカ・コネチカット州出身の伝説的ヘヴィ・メタル・バンド「スティール・プロフェット」の初日本盤発売となる11作目のスタジオ・アルバム。デビュー30周年記念作となる本作『ザ・ゴッド・マシーン』は欧州の新興レーベルであるRock Of Angelsからのリリースとなる。80年代初頭に多くデビューしたUSパワー・メタルのシーンから登場したバンドなだけに、王道とも言える正統派ヘヴィ・メタルを長年に亘ってプレイ。ニュー・ヴォーカリストとしてミスティック・プロフェシーのR.D.リアパキスが新加入した本作も、根強いファンの多い正統派のサウンドを聴かせてくれる。ミックス及びマスタリングは「ディム・ボガー」「パワーウルフ」「ハンマーフォール」「ファイアーウインド」「OUTRAGE」等を手がけ、2017年のHeavy Music Awardにてベスト・プロデューサーにも選出されたヘンリック・ウッドが担当している。
