徳間書店発行のコミック雑誌「月刊COMICリュウ」で連載され、大塚英志の事務所「物語環境開発」のキャラクターデザイナーとして知られる、ひらりんのオリジナルコミックス「のろい屋しまい」を原作とし、スターチャイルド×ufotableのタッグがおくる新作劇場アニメ『魔女っこ姉妹のヨヨとネネ』。監督に平尾隆之、キャラクターデザイン・総作画監督に柴田由香、副監督に高橋タクロヲといった強力スタッフが揃い、主人公・のろいや姉妹の姉のヨヨ役に諸星すみれ、妹のネネ役に加隈亜衣という期待の実力派若手キャストが作品を彩る。さらに、声優・小松未可子がテーマソングアーティストとして参加し、音楽面からのアプローチによる作品表現という新天地に挑むことも話題となっている。 ――魔法や呪いをかけたり解いたりすることを生業とする人々がいました。その時代の魔の国。樹老長さんの森で、のろい屋を営む魔女の姉妹がいました。のろい屋では、姉のヨヨさんと妹のネネちゃんが魔法や呪いに関する人々の悩みの依頼を日々解決していました。そんなある日、森に突然異形の大樹が生えてきました。よく見ると、大樹は見たこともない建物に絡みついています。それは2人が住んでいる魔の国にはないはずの、現代的な高層マンションだったのです! 早速調査にあたるヨヨさん。建物内で見慣れない人影を見つけ追いかけると、今度は足元に謎の魔法陣が浮かび上がり、不思議な光につつまれて・・・。ヨヨさんが飛ばされた先は見知らぬ異世界。そこで、ヨヨさんは孝洋と亜紀という二人の子供に出会います。孝洋は突然目の前に現れたヨヨさんに戸惑い、自宅へ帰り逃げますが、孝洋の自宅で待っていたものは・・・なんと“化け物”になってしまった両親の姿でした! 目の前の出来事が信じられない孝洋たち。そんな様子をみてヨヨさんはつぶやきます。「これは・・・呪い?」異世界に迷いこんでしまったヨヨさんは、まずは孝洋たちの両親を“化け物”に変えてしまった魔力の元をたどることにしました。一方魔の国に残されたネネちゃんは、異世界と魔の国に起きていることには何か関連があるのではないかと考え始めました。魔の国と異世界には一体、何が起こったのでしょうか?! かくして、2つの世界をまたいだヨヨさんとネネちゃんの不思議な冒険がはじまるのです!! アマレイケース仕様。
