One of her masterpieces, "The Wind and Thunder Gods," was included alongside the national treasure "The Wind and Thunder Gods" by Tawaraya Sotatsu at Kenninji Temple in Kyoto, and she has been active not only in Japan but also internationally, giving speeches at the United Nations and holding solo exhibitions in New York and Prague. Shoko Kanazawa's mother Yasuko, who was diagnosed with Down's Syndrome soon after she was born, tells the story of how she dealt with the condition and how her talent blossomed. The film closely follows the daily activities of Shoko Kanazawa and her mother Yasuko, and explores the calligraphy they created together and their form of happiness. The director of the film is the famous photographer Masaaki Miyazawa. The cast includes Ryohei Miyata, former president of Tokyo University of the Arts; Hiroshi Senju, painter; Masamichi Yoshida, abbot of Kenchoji Temple; Taizan Yanagida, the fourth generation of the Yanagida school of calligraphy; Nakajin of SEKAI NO OWARI, and many others.

天賦の才を二人三脚で開花させた書家金澤翔子と母、泰子。数々の苦難を乗り越え育まれた母娘の絆を描くドキュメンタリー映画。何度も、ふたりで死のうと思った―。NHK大河ドラマ「平清盛」の題字を担当するなど、今や天才書家と呼ばれるようになった金澤翔子は、5歳から母・泰子を師として書道を始め、純粋な心で揮毫する彼女の"書"は数多くの人々を魅了してきた。彼女の代表作の一つである「風神雷神」は、京都の建仁寺で国宝・俵屋宗達の「風神雷神」の屏風に並んで書が納められ、日本のみならず国連でのスピーチやニューヨークやプラハでの個展開催など世界的な活躍を見せている。生まれてすぐにダウン症と診断された彼女に母である泰子がどう向き合ってきたのか、どうやって彼女の才能を開花させていったのか、金澤翔子が書家として一流の舞台まで上り詰めるまでにはいくつもの努力と挑戦、そして母・泰子の支えがあった。映画ではそんな彼女たちの日々の活動に密着して金澤翔子と母・泰子が共に生み出す"書道"と彼女たちの幸せの形に迫る。監督は有名写真家の宮澤正明。元東京藝術大学学長・宮田亮平、画家・千住博、大本山建長寺管長・吉田正道、書家柳田流四代目・柳田泰山、SEKAI NO OWARIのNakajinなど多彩な人物が出演。
