Assembling theater lines on the day of its screen debut surpassing that of the original series feature, the screening venue for this feature was temporarily changed from the 224-seat Cinema Square to the 1046-seat Shinjuku Milano theater--now you don't need to suffer the that trauma since the most talked about work of 2007 now comes to DVD! This is the first work in planned trilogy. Fifteen years since the apocalyptical "Second Impact" event, 14-year-old Shinji Ikari is summoned to the headquarters of the special forces group NERV by his father, the commander Gendo Ikari. Now this helpless child must take on the gigantic and mysterious angels in a man-made automaton called an Evangelion, without knowing the truth about his endeavors. DVD set includes main theatrical feature, bonus disc with feature "Explanation of Evangelion: 1.01" (main feature with scene explanations via subtitles), feature "Rebuild of Evangelion 1.01" (uncut CG sequences, making-of footage), "Angel of Doom PV" (Evangelion footage music video for the climax music scene of the "Battle of Yashima" section of the film), and more. Set also includes deluxe explanatory guide, bonus film still actually used in the theatrical run of the film, and deluxe box.

Magnifica edici?n por parte de Gainax. Caja de carton gruesa con muy buen acabado. Interior abribre en 3 laminas de las cuales una tiene los libros tipicos y el espectacular recorte de pelicula. En los discos se puede ver como se soportan por plasticos transparentes que permiten ver la contraportada roja.

Well lets see its Evangelion, ok that might not sound good but take the series and remake it with better visuals and 1 unseen Angel attack, all in all I liked but that cause I love the Series plus the packaging was sweet I got a film strip with Rei! so im a happy man lol, but they better blow me away with the second movie or I will be mad

Video transfer is terrible(very poor quality of image). Quality in PV's better than in the main movie.
DD-EX sound interesting and good.
Second disk contain interesting material.

How can it be possible... 5

The definitive and ultimate movie for the fans... The story is more condensed and this is too fantastic. New CGI effect (Have to see the finale battle...) incredible. Better than I ever seen about Eva. Pfouuuuuu, very, very good surpise !!!!

THANKS A LOT ! Since 10 years, this is the most fablulous work i've seen on Eva; I can't say how cool is it !

Spectacular 5

If there was a better animated film of 2007, I have yet to see it.

The new Evangelion movie is the ultimate treat for both new and returning fans, featuring fantastic animation, wonderful music, and the same classic Evangelion feeling the world has come to love. Written by creator Hideaki Anno, the script covers the first 6 episodes of the TV series, with some differences. The real highlight is the animation, which is completely redone. Chief Animation Director Shunji Suzuki's visual production vastly surpass the original, and nearly all other animated films, and the overwhelming use of CGI makes the package all the more stunning. All the original cast members return, and Megumi Ogata is again brilliant as the troubled Shinji Ikari, even occasionally outdoing her original performance. The music, which features some new songs by Shiro Sagisu, is also excellent.

But the film's most incredible moments are in the final half hour, during the truly spectacular battle against the 5th Angel. If the sequence does not leave you breathless, you weren't breathing to begin with. Hideaki Anno and directors Kazuya Tsurumaki and Masayuki have created the ultimate Evangelion. Don't miss it!
