Going through the year a lot of animes have seemed like they were going to be great and simply fell flat. Haruhi is quite possibly one of my faveriotes, rarely do I import a passing fancey. the first episode takes a shot at several anime cliches and will leave you laughing your ass off at the charicters that reinvent their archetypes and generally give you a story in witch you havent seen in a long time or nor is it one you will see in a long time. Mikiru is my faveriote in this dvd becuase she is very cute when she stumbles her lines and shakes out of nervousness. now this episode has nothing to do with the actual show but you will find lots of neuances that will show up later on. and to really understand the show you will need to watch the entire series more than once. A definate buy.
