Director Kazuyoshi Kumakiri and Rinko Kikuchi teamed up for the first time in 20 years to produce a road movie traversing the Tohoku region! --42 years old, single, born in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. Yoko , a home-based freelancer from the "ice age" generation who has given up on life, receives news of the sudden death of her father, who had been disconnected from her for more than 20 years because he had opposed her attempts to pursue her dreams. She decides to return to Hirosaki by car with her cousin Shigeru and his family. However, Yoko is left behind by Shigeru's family, who are distracted by their child who causes trouble at a service area on the way. Yoko hesitates to go to Hirosaki, but decides to hitchhike because she has no money on her person. However, the coffin is due at noon tomorrow. She meets various people on her overnight journey northward - a hard-working single mother , a friendly girl , a suspicious writer , a warm-hearted couple, and a vision of her young father Yoko's heart, which had stopped beating, is shaken greatly.
