[Machine Translation] A brilliant quartet of JAZZ and Japanese instruments! The quartet has released its first and last album, which is a remake of the band they were a part of when they were students at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, with a focus on their original compositions. The members come from different backgrounds, and based on jazz, classical music, classical Japanese music, rock, etc., they are a one-of-a-kind quartet that crosses over various elements from the past, present, and future. Armed with techniques honed in their respective fields, the quartet develops a colorful and sophisticated sound that incorporates Japanese traditions and sensibilities. All members graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, and have been active in various capacities, including study abroad, graduate school, and live performances. In addition to the original members Mukai, Takikita, and Jidaijo, this album features their senior drummer Shun Ishiwaka, who has been called the No. 1 young drummer in the world, and gives the album a sense of speed. Four of the seven songs on this album are by the quartet. The other three are duo & solo.
