星砂の島、私の島 ～アイランド・ドリーミン～ / 邦画
沖縄・竹富島の美しい自然と、ゆるやかな時間の流れに惚れ込んだ映像作家・喜多一郎による渾身の初監督作品。2003年ニッポン放送が公募したラジオドラマ原作大賞でグランプリを獲得、2003年8月にはラジオドラマとして放送。その原作を書いた喜多一郎が自らメガホンをとり2004年春、映画化され、全国各地で公開された。主人公の行動を通して、登場人物それぞれが新しい自分を見つけてゆく姿が描かれる。天真爛漫なキャラクターの主人公を新人・大多月乃が清々しく好演。また、脇を彩るモーニング娘。6期メンバー3人(亀井絵里、道重さゆみ、田中れいな)、津田寛治ら登場人物たちも優しく愛情一杯。沖縄出身バンド・BEGINが奏でる音楽が島気分を盛り上げ、観客を心地良い南方憧憬に浸らせる。ゆうばり国際ファンタスティック映画祭2004招待作品。
