The album title "Terrasite" is coined from "terra-" (Latin = "earth") and "-sitos" (Greek = "food") and refers to the earth-eating creature that appears on the album cover. It is said that it represents a human being who has been burdening the environment, reincarnated in this form in a devastated world, and finally doing his evil deeds as a being that destroys the earth. Of course, the technical and extreme sound style is maintained. As with his recent work, Dave Otero (CEPHALIC CARNAGE, KHEMMIS, ARCHSPIRE, etc.) produced the album, and longtime collaborator Wes Benscoter (VADER, KREATOR, HYPOCRISY, etc.) did the artwork.

テクニカル・デス/グラインド・メタル・バンド、CATTLE DECAPITATIONの最新作! 本作は3年半振りの最新作。アルバム・タイトルの『Terrasite』は"terra-" (ラテン語 = "earth") + "-sitos" (ギリシャ語 = "food")の造語で、アルバム・カヴァーにも登場する地球を喰らうクリーチャーのこと。環境への負荷を続けてきた人間が荒廃した世界にこの姿で転生し、いよいよ地球を滅ぼす存在として悪行の限りを尽くす様を表しているという。勿論テクニカルでエクストリームなサウンド・スタイルは堅持されている。近作同様Dave Otero (CEPHALIC CARNAGE, KHEMMIS, ARCHSPIRE他)がプロデュースを担当、アートワークは長年のコラボレイターWes Benscoter (VADER, KREATOR, HYPOCRISY他)が手掛けている。
