Description

[Machine Translation] Based on the original story by Renzaburo Shibata, this is the long-awaited first soft version of the TV historical drama series starring Masakazu Tamura, which was broadcast from October 1974 to February 1975 for a total of 21 episodes on Fuji TV. Unlike the original story, the main character in this TV drama, Akizuki Rokurota, was set as the twin brother of Tokugawa Iemitsu. Rokurouta was born as a twin brother of Tokugawa Iemitsu, but was sent to a foster home to avoid a useless struggle for the succession. The two become entangled in a terrifying whirlpool. Starring Masakazu Tamura in the dual roles of Rokurota Akizuki, an inexperienced swordsman but one who cannot hide his good blood, and his twin brother Iemitsu Tokugawa. 柴田錬三郎の原作をもとに、1974年10月～1975年2月、フジテレビ系列にて全21話が放送された田村正和主演のテレビ時代劇が、待望の初ソフト化。本テレビドラマの主人公・秋月六郎太は、原作とは異なり、徳川家光の双子の弟と設定された。物語は、徳川家光の双子の弟として生まれたが、無用な後継者争いを避けるために里子に出され、流浪の旅を続ける無頼の浪人・秋月六郎太が、ある日偶然、亡き徳川家康の密命を受けた柳生但馬守の家臣・朝比奈源右衛門に追われる豊臣秀頼の遺児・秀也とその母・桂宮蓮子を助けたことから、恐るべき渦の中に巻き込まれていく。主演の田村正和が、未熟な剣士だが、血筋の良さを隠せない主人公・秋月六郎太と、双子の兄・徳川家光の二役を好演。その他、大谷直子、渡辺篤史、佐藤慶、近衛十四郎ら豪華キャストが脇を固めている。封入特典: 解説書 (24P)
