今、心からの「ただいま」。日本の最果てにある、舟小屋焙煎珈琲店。ここが本当の自分に戻れる場所。故郷である奥能登のさいはての海辺に帰り、焙煎珈琲店を開いた岬と、この地に住むシングルマザーの絵里子。生き方も価値観も全く異なるふたりが出会い、やがてそれぞれがほんとうの自分、そして大切なものに気づいていく・・・。主演は『八日目の蝉』(11)で日本アカデミー賞最優秀助演女優賞を受賞した演技派・永作博美。初のシングルマザー役に挑戦したのは佐々木希。メガホンを取ったのは、アジアの巨匠エドワード・ヤンの後継者とも目される台湾出身の女性監督・姜秀瓊(チアン・ショウチョン)、撮影はロンドンを拠点に活躍する真間段九朗。石川県珠洲市のオールロケで捉えられた美しい映像の中、国籍を超え誰の心にも寄り添う普遍の物語が、あたたかく心地よい感動をお届けする。――最果ての海辺で吉田岬(永作博美)は朽ちかけた舟小屋を改装し、焙煎珈琲店「ヨダカ珈琲」の営業を開始する。「ヨダカ珈琲」の向かいに住むのはシングルマザーの山崎絵里子(佐々木希)と二人の子供たち。絵里子は生活の為に家を空けることが多く、幼い姉弟はたったふたり、肩を寄せ合って母のいない日を過ごしている。珈琲店を訪れる様々な人々との交流が生まれる中、ある夜、舟小屋で"事件"が起きる・・・。
