【東映 ムビ×ステ】第2弾! 映画と舞台、それぞれ独立した作品ながら、物語は連動する新感覚のエンターテインメント。"死神遣い"と"死神"―― 奇妙な名コンビが、令和の日本を席巻する! 主人公の"死神遣い"久坂幻士郎を演じるのは、舞台『刀剣乱舞』の鈴木拡樹。脚本は、『探偵はBARにいる』で日本アカデミー賞・優秀脚本賞に輝いた須藤泰司。監督は、平成仮面ライダーシリーズやスーパー戦隊シリーズを数多く手がけてきた柴崎貴行。――三代将軍・家光の時代。江戸に、"死神遣い"の探偵・久坂幻士郎という男がいた。幻士郎は、十蘭という"死神"と契約しており、自分の寿命の一部と引き換えに、不思議な能力を使うことができるのだ。そんな幻士郎と十蘭のもとに、ある女の行方を捜してほしいという依頼が舞い込んだ。手掛かりは「右目の端に黒子(ほくろ)」「桐紋の短剣」のみ。破格の手付金を受け取り、気を良くした幻士郎は早速、調査を開始。そんな折、吉原遊郭の惣名主・庄司甚右衛門は頭を抱えていた。大門が閉まれば出入り不可能な吉原で、真夜中、遊女が大門の外に連れ出され、次々に殺されていたのだ。幻士郎が追う「黒子の女」と「遊女連続殺人」の関係は? 吉原遊廓の惣名主を父にもつ侠客の新之助や、その姉・お藤も巻き込んで、やがて明らかになる、驚きの真相! 三枚目ヒーロー・幻士郎! 命を賭して、何守る?! いざ、今日も三途で鬼退治!
