東京都の緊急事態宣言を受けてツアー「MUCC TOUR 202X 惡-The brightnessworld」の公演延期を発表したMUCC。GWの空いた予定を埋めるため、延期の発表から電光石火のスピードで発表となったこの配信ライヴは4月21日にメンバー・SATOちの脱退の餞としてリリースされたアルバム『明星』を完全に再現するためのライヴで、1曲目「家路」から16曲目「明星」まで、曲順通りに演奏された楽曲は、音源とはまた一味違ったエモーショナルな仕上がりとなった。また、アンコールでは明星に収録されなかったSATOちの楽曲から、近年のライヴでは珍しい「背徳の人」「1R」「チェインリング」「気化熱」を演奏。本来行われる予定だったツアーのライヴの穴を埋めて余りあるクオリティのライヴとなった。
