With this album, muramasa has taken a step or two away from the bouncy, high-energy ska genre, and instead distinguished themselves with a calmer, more approachable style. There's a lot more pop sensibility in their songs here, with some ballads among the fun. If you're wanting strictly ska, this album may not sit well with you--this is almost nothing like the band's debut singles and mini-album--but fans of high energy music regardless of the genre will certainly get a kick out of this.
