INDOU-EP

[Machine Translation] This is Indou's second EP following Heat Haze, released in September 2017 on Seattle's Boom One Records, as was the previous one. This EP is a 6-track EP of the latest songs that were written for singles that were not included in the previous album, and are promoted from Indou's unique worldview. Featuring members of Heat Haze and Tokyo-based band Ninja wi Ninja, Indou remixes songs by Philadelphia's Dubsmith &Sir Philpotts and B.Davis, and also includes a dub version. This is the EP version of the 6 single album, which is a reworking of roots reggae and dub with a floor-friendly arrangement, heavy bass, and Indou's own sharpened groove. The first track, Blood Fire (Japanese Ver.), features the Tokyo band Ninja wi Ninja, and the Japanese lyrics are a perfect example of Indou's unique take on the theme of chaos and peace in the world. Inspired by club culture, he left Friction in 1990 and has since released a number of dance floor-oriented albums, including house, drum'n'bass, jungle, and dubstep.

Heat Hazeに続く2作目,前作同様シアトルのBoom One Recordsから2017年9月リリース。本作は前作に収められていないシングル向けに作られた曲を、Indou独自の世界観で推し進めた最新曲6曲入りEP。共演アーティストは前作Heat Hazeのメンバーのほか、東京で活躍するバンドNinja wi Ninjaをフィーチャー、ほかフィラデルフィアのDubsmith &Sir Philpotts やB.Davisの曲をIndouがリミックスし、さらにダブバージョンも収録。本作はルーツレゲエやダブをフロア向けにアレンジし重低音と研ぎすまれたIndou独自のグルーブ感で、再構築された6曲入りシングルのアルバムEP版。シアトルそして東京から発信されるBoom One Records独自のフューチャーレゲエを堪能できるアルバムに仕上がっている。1曲目のBlood Fire (Japanese Ver.) は東京で活躍するバンドNinja wi Ninjaをフィーチャー、日本語の歌詞が我々に訴えかける、世界の混沌と平和をテーマにした問題作。2曲目はDubsmith &Sir Philpotts のCrucial Rankinをジャズのテイストで仕上げたフューチャーレゲエともいうべきディープな作品。ほかB.Davisの名曲Been a Whileのリメイクが素晴らしい。東京で活躍するバンドNinja wi Ninjaそしてフィラデルフィアで活動中のDubsmith &Sir Philpotts 、B.Davisをフューチャリング。前作Heat Haze同様にセリガノがプロデュースを担当。<プロフィール>Serigano a.k.a Indou / 1988年にFrictionのメンバーとして、ニューヨークにて録音された3枚目のアルバムである”レプリカントウォーク”に、キーボードで参加した。プロデューサーはスワンズのロリモシュマン、共演者はジョンゾーン。後にクラブカルチャーに触発され1990年Friction脱退後はハウスやドラムンベース、ジャングルそしてダブステップを製作するなどダンスフロアを意識した作品を数多くリリース、現在に至る。
