2008年京都にて結成。異例のなんばHach出演、そして数々のライブサーキットで入場規制。ドイツのハンブルグ映画祭で上映されたショートムービ「MILK」のエンディング曲に起用されるなど、各方面から高い評価を受ける。LIVE会場限定の音源「愛しさに咽び泣いた夜だった」「逃げ出してしまいたい、」は瞬く間にソールドアウト。2012年はタワーレコード限定販売で「ソーダ水の気の抜けた朝に」を発売、即日ソールドアウトし話題を呼ぶ。2013年は初の全国リリース作品「THE JOSHUA TREE」を発表、地元京都でワンマンLIVEを開催、大盛況を呼ぶ。そして結成7周年を迎えた2月、LIVEで評価の高い「TICTAC」「きらり」「愛と死」などの未発表曲を含むMILKBARの今までを詰め込んだ至高のPOPアルバムを発売する。
