Last year marked the 10th anniversary of the band's formation, and the band released two CDs: "etc.works," a commemorative album of collaborations, cover songs, and songs provided by the band, and "special thanks! and the first single in five years, "special thanks! In December, the band went on a mini live tour in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Okinawa, and had a fulfilling anniversary year. Recording began in mid-February. This album, which was created with more attention and care to the recording process than ever before, is a work of great confidence with a perfect balance of the unchanging and evolving Monpachi! After the release of the album, the band will embark on a nationwide 47-prefecture tour, starting in Akita on July 14 and ending in Okinawa, Japan for the third time. In between the national tour, the band will perform at summer festivals around the country, and on October 3, they will hold their long-awaited event in their hometown of Okinawa, inviting many of their beloved music friends they have met so far, in a location unique to Okinawa!

バンドの新境地を垣間見る事のできる今作は、変わらぬモンパチと進化するモンパチが絶妙なバランスで練り込まれた快心の自信作です!!11年目のモンパチは・・・昨年はバンド結成10周年を迎え、これまでに手がけたコラボ曲やカバー曲、楽曲提供などをまとめた記念アルバム『etc.works』と、5年ぶりのシングル『special thanks!!』2枚のCDをリリース。県内ライブハウスサーキットツアーや全国のフェスに参戦後、12月には東京・大阪・名古屋・福岡・沖縄でのミニライブツアーを行い充実のアニバーサルイヤーとなりました。2009年は、ニューアルバムの制作からスタートし、1ヶ月間の集中創作期間を経て、2月中旬からレコーディングを開始。これまで以上にレコーディング作業を意識し、丁寧に創り上げた今作は、変わらぬモンパチと進化していくモンパチが絶妙なバランスで練り込まれた快心の自信作!!アルバムリリース後は、7月14日秋田を皮切りに、ラストの沖縄まで、日本3周目となる全国47都道府県ツアーに出かけます。そして、全国ツアーの合間に各地の夏フェスに出演しつつ、10月3日には地元沖縄で、これまで出会った敬愛する沢山の音楽仲間を招いて、沖縄ならではのロケーションで、念願のモンパチ主動によるイベントを開催します!!!
