7ヶ月振りのシングル! 初の両A面カバーシングル。竹内まりや作詞、作曲の「駅」は、メンバーたちの思い入れが特に強い楽曲で、今年5月に行われたツアーにて初披露された。アレンジは、星屑スキャット作品を長年に渡り数多く手がけてきた中塚武によるもの。今回のリリースに際し、1ヶ月以上かけてボーカル・レコーディングとミックスを行い完成させた渾身のカバー。中森明菜21枚目のシングルとして1988年にリリースされた「TATTOO」は、2年前のツアーにて初披露。この度、満を持しての初音源化となる。こちらは、星屑スキャットのシングル「ご乱心」「不可思議条約」などを手掛けた、中土智博によるアレンジで、重厚感たっぷりなサウンドに仕上がっている。2005年の結成以来、ジャンルにとらわれず数多くの楽曲に挑んできた星屑スキャットであるが、時代を超えたスタンダード作品のカバーシングルということで、まだ星屑スキャットに詳しくない方にも、彼らの魅力を伝える名刺のひとつとしてお届けしたい。
