2007年1月、Voしおる・Guあかとで結成。メンバー2人の身長が小さい事から、ちびっこ青春系ユニットと称し2人の名前を取って「あかしお」と命名。人間の心を伝えたいという事から始まったユニットで、癒し効果は抜群です。染みる楽曲と歌声、歌詞。セピア色になった青春の1ページを思い出させるような世界で魅了します。ミニアルバム「彩」は全曲、色というキーワードで繋がっていた事からつけたタイトルです。初のミニアルバムとなる訳ですが、こんな事も出来るんだよ。と、全曲全く違うアピールが出来た作品だと思います。今までのあかしお色は残しつつ、色とりどりの色彩で魅了します!
