マキシマム ガレージ スラッシュ! クロスオーヴァーの向こう側で生まれたガレージパンクの超進化型。前作のスケールを超えたという言葉では収まらない…、「前作を超えた」は普通過ぎる。あえて言うなら『前作は忘れていいこれが彼らの真の姿である』前作『THRASH RETRO』で見せたSKATE THRASHやMETAL的なアプローチは踏襲しつつ、今作『ELECTRIC EVIL MAKE BOMB』は60'GARAGE PUNKやPsychedelic MOD Groove系、そしてPUNKにおもいきり針を振った、ある意味完全なるAlternative Rockに仕上がっている。また、ここからは本人達はまったく意識していないであろうが、MudhoneyやPixies、Dinosaur Jr.といったGrungeなバンドをも彷彿させる「悪さ」な要素が楽曲に見事なまでに存在している。前作から1年半という短いスパンで制作された今作ではあるが、ホントにあれから1年半しか経っていないのか!?と首を傾げてしまうほど、BOYZBOYZBOYZのサウンドは急成長し、ダイナミックに変貌を遂げている。それは、今作を構築する楽曲が見事なまでに証明しているといっても過言ではない。「これが本当のBOYZBOYZBOYZの始まりなのだ」ーーそう言わんばかりのデターミネーションがひとつひとつの楽曲から気持ちいいくらいに伝わってくる今作『ELECTRIC EVIL MAKE BOMB』。「前作のスケールを超えた」という言葉では収まらない…、「前作を超えた」は普通過ぎる。あえて言うなら、「前作は忘れていい、これが彼らの真の姿である」がピッタリとはまる言葉であろう。
