Description

[Machine Translation] The legendary Osaka trio "The Butts" led by Jimmy Kurata, who electrified rockabilly/punk kids nationwide with their 1983 debut album that included the classic song "Tokyo Junktown", is still a club hit a quarter of a century later. Since last year, Rockin' Ichiro (Boogie Woogie Swing Boys) has joined the trio in place of the original bassist, Mr. Kubo, and they have been performing energetically in various places. The recording was produced by Mr. Kurata himself, and features innovative arrangements of all seven songs from the first album, as well as his own "roots music. In addition, four songs by Hank Williams (*Note 2), a C & W (Country & Western) legend who declares it to be his "roots music," and a cover of an extremely rare unreleased song by Eddie Cochran were added to the album. This is one of the new Butts' hot albums. The blade-like sound of this trio of craftsmen who have been pursuing R&R on their own path without being influenced by trends seems to be a "blackmail" to the stagnant rockabilly world. ( *Note 1 ) It is said that the recording at that time did not reflect the band's intention and the content was not satisfactory. For details, please refer to Jimmy Kurata's valuable recollections in the booklet. ( *Note 2 ) Guest players: Fiddle: Hitomi "Q" Sugimoto (supporting many musicians mainly in Kansai) Steel slide guitar: Spoon Otani (Burlesque Engine) Following this album titled "Chronicles Vol. 1," "Vol. 2," which was conceived early on, includes a recording of a second album that was not released at the time. The recording of "Vol. 2" is scheduled to begin soon, focusing on songs that were scheduled to be included on the second album, which was not released at the time.

CHRONICLES VOL.1 / THE BOTS
