Where we are

[Machine Translation] Formed in March 2003, Sekaiichi will go on indefinite hiatus in May 2023. For the past 20 years, Sekaiichi has been earnestly pursuing music that they consider "cool" without compromising their own "cool" music, without staying within a single genre. The culmination of their efforts is this mini-album, "Where we are. From the first track, "Go," which sings, "Go beyond genres and borders" over a solid beat, to the fifth track, "Where we are," the title track, which sings, "Even if the road is far away, the story is on the way," with a neo-soul sound in the background, this hybrid blend of the past Sekaiichi and the new Sekaiichi is a collection of five songs. The album contains five songs that are a hybrid blend of their previous and latest sekaiichi works, and the members themselves are proud to call it their masterpiece.

2003年3月に結成されたセカイイチは、2023年5月をもって無期限活動休止する。セカイイチは20年の間、ひとつのジャンルにとどまることなく、彼ら自身が"かっこいい"と思える音楽を妥協することなく真摯に追求してきた。その集大成となるのがこのミニアルバム『Where we are』である。ソリッドなビートに乗って「ジャンルもボーダーも越えていけ」と歌う1曲目『Go』から、ネオソウル的なサウンドをバックに「道は離れても物語の途中」と歌い上げる表題曲の5曲目『Where we are』まで、これまでのセカイイチと最新のセカイイチをハイブリッドに溶け合わせた5曲が収録されており、メンバー自身も最高傑作と自負する作品となっている。
