The special makeup and art direction was done by Tomoo Haraguchi, the director of "Sakuya Yokaiden" and "Bakko-Yokaiden Kabakichi," who is known for his sculpting and special makeup work on Japanese special effects films such as the Heisei Gamera series and "Uzumaki"! --Rika, an 18-year-old girl who is troubled by her life, is taken to hell by an old woman she meets in a park, and is told to tell the humans about the horrors of hell. What Rika sees in hell is a hellish place where the dead who have committed the deadliest sins in this world are condemned to hell. There, Rika finds Tsutomu Miyajima, a serial kidnapper and murderer of young girls, and Juko Manabu and her husband, culprits in a poisoned curry incident. Rika also witnesses the misdeeds of Kabuhara, the founder of the Uchu Shinrikyo sect to which she belongs, and his followers....
