The film is based on the footage of "Colorful Witch: Eiko Kakuno's Story-Born Life" broadcast on NHK E-television from 2020 to 2023. Narrated by actress Aoi Miyazaki, who has assisted Kakuno with her warm voice in regular programs, the film continues to be narrated by Aoi Miyazaki. The director is Marina Miyagawa, who has produced various popular programs for NHK. Music is by London-based composer Dai Fujikura.
