Absolutely brilliant. Both funny and charming - it is like a Japanese version of "The Bad News Bears", but better. This is the movie that established Director Masayuki Suo as the best Japanese Director since Kurosawa. This movie is every bit as good as his follow up, "Shall We Dance?"
